3d Surfaces

These are Apas Cloud services: they run on our servers for a signed-in member. The examples below are shown already made; sign in to edit and run your own.

surf Apas Cloud

Samples z = f(x, y) on the CPU into a filled, colormap-shaded 3D surface, rendered live in the browser via WebGL2 (works in any WebGL2-capable browser, unlike webgpu-shaders' surface3d()).

mesh Apas Cloud

Same sampling as surf(), rendered as a colormap-colored wireframe only (no filled faces) -- matches MATLAB's own mesh().

surfc Apas Cloud

surf() plus a set of contour lines projected onto the floor of the plot (the z = z_min plane) -- matches MATLAB's own surfc().

contour3 Apas Cloud

Draws only the iso-lines of z = f(x, y) at numLevels evenly spaced heights, each drawn at its own height on the surface (not projected to the floor) -- matches MATLAB's own contour3().
