Text cells take .apc blocks: <h2>, <p>, $$ … $$, <image>, lists, tables — and $x$ shows a value computed in an earlier code cell. Code cells run ApasScript; variables carry into every later cell. Question cells hold one <question> and can be sent to the question bank. Running always goes top to bottom, so what you see matches the order you read.
